Use DuPage’s public viewing route when remote access is unclear

Public files and courthouse terminals

The Circuit Clerk’s court-records page provides for public file access, except sealed or impounded material, and public information terminals at 505 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton. Its listed hours are weekdays 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

A restricted login is a different service

The Clerk Restricted Information System is an account-based route. If an entry page is unavailable or marked as a test site, contact the Criminal/Traffic Department at 630-407-8600 for the current access route. Do not interpret an access failure as a completed records search.

Build a DuPage copy order around the document you need

  1. 01
    Identify the criminal filing

The Circuit Clerk overview confirms that its records include felony and misdemeanor cases. Keep the case number, party name, document title and filing date together when asking for copies.

  2. 02
    Choose the copy-order channel

The Order Court Documents page directs general users to register with i2File. It directs agency and attorney users to the restricted system. Follow the copy-request option, rather than submit a new court pleading.

  3. 03
Confirm format and total before paying

State which documents need certification. If you cannot use the online route, ask the Criminal/Traffic desk about an in-person or mail order; the published page says copy charges are the same across these channels.

Estimate DuPage copy costs per document

Part of the copy charge Published amount
First page $2.00
Pages 2 through 20 $0.50 per page
Pages after 20 $0.25 per page
Certification $6.00 per document
Worked copy estimate

Using the listed schedule, one 25-page document costs $12.75 before certification: $2 + $9.50 for the next 19 pages + $1.25 for five further pages. Certification brings that document to $18.75. Confirm the document’s actual page count and final order amount with the clerk or ordering service.
